Adam Venokur has more than 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors of accounting. Adam’s expertise is in providing accounting, tax and business advisory services and his clients include hedge funds and closely-held businesses in various industry sectors, including hospitality, foodservice and restaurants; real estate and construction; staffing services; entertainment, music and sports; digital media; healthcare; and legal services.
As Tarlow’s Restaurant and Hospitality Practice Leader, Adam works across the full spectrum of foodservice businesses, including grocers, distributors and restaurants, on process improvement, supply chain management, M&A and tax and auditing. Adam is also the lead Partner of Tarlow Financial Services, an affiliated group whose services encompass all group benefits and individual retirement, insurance, education, investment and asset allocation planning. Adam also specializes in tax and advisory services for international investors in U.S. real estate. In addition, Adam has a deep understanding of tax matters impacting high growth professional service and technology companies, especially those also operating in jurisdiction outside of the U.S.
In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, and a Personal Financial Planning Specialist, Adam earned several financial services licenses, including the NASD Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses. Adam holds insurance licenses for the State of New York, New Jersey, Florida, Connecticut and Massachusetts and he serves on the New York State Society of CPAs Real Estate Committee.
Prior to Tarlow & Co., Adam was with KPMG and was a Partner with the accounting firm Venokur & Co., which he established with Paul Venokur in 2001; the Firm merged with Tarlow & Co. in 2005.
