Open Positions

Tax Supervisor 

We are currently seeking a Tax Supervisor with four to seven years of experience to join our growing tax team. This individual will manage various complex tax engagements with minimal supervision or errors for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. The ideal candidate will supervise and mentor seniors, tax associates, and staff accountants and possesses exceptional interpersonal and management skills.

  • Accurately and thoroughly prepare and review tax returns of advanced complexity with minimal supervision or errors.
  • Assist with the preparation and detailed review of federal, state, local, and special tax returns (Corporate, Partnership, Individual, Fiduciary).
  • Perform research on highly complex tax matters and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of problems, issues, and best solutions in each circumstance.
  • Oversee complex tax returns prepared by tax seniors and staff accountants and identify errors, omissions, and tax minimization opportunities.
  • Recognize tax service opportunities for clients and proactively communicate them to the Partners.
  • Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.
  • Actively communicate with clients and manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops/ classes, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Provide comprehensive feedback, guidance, and mentoring.
  • Assist the Partners in analyzing the tax effects of client business transactions.
  • Conduct research and remain up to date on the latest regulatory changes in tax law.
  • Act as an engagement leader and develop detailed budgets and timelines for delivery.
  • Manage multiple tax clients and engagements simultaneously.
  • Improve the productivity and growth of the Firm by developing or enhancing efficient processes and systems.
  • Communicate difficult tax issues in a non-technical manner to facilitate communication with clients.
  • Ensure that tax assignments prepared by others are accomplished on time and within budget.
  • Evaluate and prepare performance reviews for tax staff and provide appropriate feedback.
  • Implement a sense of purpose and direction for staff members while earning the trust of coworkers and client representatives.
  • 4 – 7 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
  • Prior CPA Firm experience; previous experience as a supervisor or experienced senior.
  • BA/BS in Tax from an accredited college/university is required; Master’s degree in Tax or relevant field is desirable.
  • International tax knowledge and experience a plus.
  • Eligible to sit for the CPA Exam or have passed all or parts of the CPA Exam.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including the use of Excel and working knowledge of tax and accounting software and applications.

Audit Supervisor

We are currently seeking an Audit Supervisor with four-six years of experience to join our team. This individual will lead engagements supported by the Partners and assume responsibility for appropriate areas of audits, reviews, and compilations. The ideal candidate will be driven to build their technical knowledge and skills and become oriented to the Firm’s practices and policies. The Audit Supervisor will execute diligent client service with close support from the Firm’s staff members. Responsibilities will increase with demonstrated skill.

  • Conduct and participate in financial audits, compliance audits, and financial reporting.
  • Develop audit objectives, plans, and scope by reviewing available information and conducting research.
  • Develop budgets and pricing, schedule audits, select staff and assign workloads, and prepare reports of audit findings and recommendations.
  • Train/mentor staff to ensure quality work and efficient delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable plans, policies, and standards.
  • Understand internal controls and evaluate and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay current on industry trends, and best accounting and audit practices.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and various other accounting statements.
  • Oversee the effort of multiple client engagements and meet deliverable deadlines within budget, identify roadblocks, and understand critical milestones to meet client service expectations.
  • Maintain active communication with clients and manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classification assigned to various records.
  • Supervise the work of staff and senior accountants and assist/train staff.
  • Develop new client relationships, expand business, and initiate new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.
  • Evaluate and prepare performance reviews for audit staff and provide appropriate feedback.
  • Provide a sense of direction and purpose for staff members while earning the trust of coworkers and client representatives.
  • Discuss audit observations, recommendations, and actions to be taken with management.
  • 4-6 years of experience.
  • BA/BS in Accounting from an accredited college/university is required; Master’s degree in Accounting or relevant field is preferred.
  • Must have prior CPA Firm experience.
  • Eligible to sit for the CPA Exam or have passed all or parts of the CPA Exam.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including working knowledge of tax and accounting software and applications.
  • Strong knowledge and application of GAAP standards for complex engagements.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State taxation, including multi-state tax regulations.
  • Ability to assist/train and oversee staff and senior accountants.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to recognize and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Experience in various industries is a plus.

Senior Audit Associate 

We are currently seeking a Senior Audit Associate with three-five years of experience to join our team. This individual will assist audit managers in developing audit strategy, planning, review, and interpreting audit findings for clients. The ideal candidate will be a highly focused, dedicated professional who works well independently as well as with a team.

  • Assists supervisor or manager oversee audit fieldwork.
  • Collaborates with members of the audit team to identify and resolve audit issues.
  • Gains a comprehensive understanding of clients’ operations and processes and utilizes the knowledge on audit engagements.
  • Researches and analyzes accounting issues and transactions.
  • Communicates with client representatives to implement business and process improvements.

  • CPA certification preferred or in process.
