Open Positions

Audit Senior

We are currently seeking an Audit Senior with three-five years of experience to join our team. This individual will lead engagements supported by the Partners and assume responsibility for appropriate areas of audits, reviews, and compilations. The ideal candidate will be driven to build their technical knowledge and skills and become oriented to the Firm’s practices and policies. The Audit Senior will execute diligent client service with close support from the Firm’s staff members. Responsibilities will increase with demonstrated skill.

  • Conduct and participate in financial audits, compliance audits, and financial reporting.
  • Develop audit objectives, plans, and scope by reviewing available information and conducting research.
  • Develop budgets and pricing, schedule audits, select staff and assign workloads, and prepare reports of audit findings and recommendations.
  • Train/mentor staff to ensure quality work and efficient delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable plans, policies, and standards.
  • Understand internal controls and evaluate and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay current on industry trends, and best accounting and audit practices.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and various other accounting statements.
  • Oversee the effort of multiple client engagements and meet deliverable deadlines within budget, identify roadblocks, and understand critical milestones to meet client service expectations.
  • Maintain active communication with clients and manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classification assigned to various records.
  • Develop new client relationships, expand business, and initiate new business opportunities.
  • Evaluate and prepare performance reviews for audit staff and provide appropriate feedback.
  • Provide a sense of direction and purpose for staff members while earning the trust of coworkers and client representatives.
  • Discuss audit observations, recommendations, and actions to be taken with management.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • BA/BS in Accounting from an accredited college/university is required; Master’s degree in Accounting or relevant field is preferred.
  • Must have prior CPA Firm experience.
  • Eligible to sit for the CPA Exam or have passed all or parts of the CPA Exam.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including working knowledge of tax and accounting software and applications.
  • Strong knowledge and application of GAAP standards for complex engagements.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State taxation, including multi-state tax regulations.

Audit Associate 

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Audit Associate to join our growing team. This individual will be driven to build their technical knowledge and skills and become oriented to the Firm’s practices and policies. The Audit Associate will execute diligent client service with close support from the Firm’s staff members. The ideal candidate will be a highly focused, dedicated professional who works well independently as well as with a team.

  • Prepare portions of compilations, reviews, and audit engagements.
  • Draft and prepare aspects of financial statements.
  • Develop spreadsheets and reports.
  • With the supervision of Partners, Managers, and Staff accountants, assist with audit/compliance reports.
  • Assist Partners, Managers, and Staff Accountants with special tax projects as needed.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of clients’ operations and processes and utilize the knowledge on audit engagements.
  • Research and analyze accounting issues and transactions.

Tax Senior

We are currently seeking a Tax Senior with 3 – 5 years of public accounting experience to join our growing tax team. This individual will be familiar with IRS Circular 230 Regulations Governing the Practice of Attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, Actuaries, and Enrolled Agents before the IRS and the AICPA Professional Code of Conduct. The ideal candidate will be a highly focused, dedicated professional who works well independently as well as with a team. 

  • Reviews tax information supplied by clients; may meet with or call clients with questions. 
  • Assists with the preparation and detailed review of federal, state, local, and special tax returns (Corporate, Partnership, Individual, and Fiduciary). 
  • Prepares, or assists in the preparation of, complex tax returns and tax research. 
  • Reviews tax returns and prepares tax files for review by Supervisor or Manager. 
  • Researches tax issues and provides oral and/or written responses to Supervisors or Managers. 
  • Recognizes, anticipates, and resolves tax issues; makes recommendations. 
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects. 
  • Meets productivity and efficiency standards (billable hours). 
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies. 
  • Continually develops and maintains the tax return tracking system for the Company. 
  • Meets filing deadline responsibilities. 
  • Stays within given timeframe and budget restrictions. 
  • BS/BS/MS in Accounting, and a Master’s in Taxation is desirable.
  • 3 – 5 years of CPA Firm experience

Tax Supervisor 

We are currently seeking a Tax Supervisor with four to seven years of experience to join our growing tax team. This individual will manage various complex tax engagements with minimal supervision or errors for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. The ideal candidate will supervise and mentor seniors, tax associates, and staff accountants and possesses exceptional interpersonal and management skills.

  • Accurately and thoroughly prepare and review tax returns of advanced complexity with minimal supervision or errors.
  • Assist with the preparation and detailed review of federal, state, local, and special tax returns (Corporate, Partnership, Individual, Fiduciary).
  • Perform research on highly complex tax matters and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of problems, issues, and best solutions in each circumstance.
  • Oversee complex tax returns prepared by tax seniors and staff accountants and identify errors, omissions, and tax minimization opportunities.
  • Recognize tax service opportunities for clients and proactively communicate them to the Partners.
  • Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.

  • 4 – 7 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
  • Prior CPA Firm experience; previous experience as a supervisor or experienced senior.
  • BA/BS in Tax from an accredited college/university is required; Master’s degree in Tax or relevant field is desirable.
  • International tax knowledge and experience a plus.
  • Eligible to sit for the CPA Exam or have passed all or parts of the CPA Exam.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including the use of Excel and working knowledge of tax and accounting software and applications.
